Today I...Fired down the deposit for my first flat!

Thats the one :-)

I'm guessing the new pad is down leith way. They have been doing quite a bit of waterside redevelopment down there.

Noticed this last week when i was down at the utterly miserable Ocean Terminal. The ones beside Ocean terminal are quite nice on the outside

i was down that way on Sunday. Apparently they have lots of issues as they were "flung" up in a hurry..

Not cheap either

It's a new build so watch out for terribly thin walls, cheap boilers and a terribly managing company.

Moving in this Friday guys :D :D :D

Currently packing all my worldly possessions into boxes, not so great!
Never realised how much absolute JUNK I've accumulated!

Nice :) Looks very slick.

I've been renting for years now. I can't wait until I can drop down a deposit on a place of my own. It's hard to save up the required amount these days though, as you really need 20%+ (which translates to £30k+ really), to get a half-decent mortgage deal. saving this amount alone is quite an uphill task!

Tell me about it!
I figured it's not really going to be a permanent arrangement, probably for a couple years at most then gives us time to save up money for deposit and furniture then go our separate ways.

Congrats.

Carpet though, a hell to keep clean :(.
Why get rid of the couch :p? Looks great imo.

It's a little dated and it's also a horrible colour!

Yep, binning quite abit, surprising how many thing you hold onto thinking "never know when you will need it!"

Hired a big Transit for Friday, should be fun :D
