That's strange.

Mine is pretty much silent, but mine is a HIS brand, which I believe is just the standard default ATI 6870 cooler.

I also have my fan settings set to default in overdrive, rather than a constant higher fixed speed.

I have the XFX version. Standard shroud, fan at back, exhaust from rear of case cooling.

I've been staring at that 560 all day...

I think my 5770 will do me for a while longer though, perhaps I'll upgrade closer to Deus Ex 3's launch.
