where was the sun cream?

you only have to peel 3 times to substantially increase the risk of skin cancer.

Im an idiot. I knew i was going out but thought id be able to find somewhere shady, but failed.

You should have seen me after the foos gig in hyde park last year me being the prat i am didnt put any cream on so by 11 at night i was bright red, hot enough to cook an egg on and just touching my face felt like rubbing it with sandpaper, the best bit was waking up a few days later with a face covered in patches of 5pence peice sized dead skin and sitting pealing them off before i had to leave the house lovely.

That sir was an awesome gig... :)

Today's lesson kids:
  1. Avoid outdoor activities between 10am and 4pm, when the sun's rays are the strongest.
  2. Always wear a broad-spectrum (protection against both UVA and UVB) sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 or higher.
  3. Reapply sunscreen frequently (at least every 2 hours), especially after swimming, sweating or drying off with a towel.
  4. Wear a hat with a four-inch brim all around because it protects neck, ears, eyes, forehead, nose and scalp.
  5. Wear long-sleeved shirts, long trousers or long skirts to protect skin. Dark colours provide more protection than light colours by preventing more UV rays from reaching your skin. A tightly woven fabric provides greater protection than loosely woven fabric.
  6. To protect your eyes from sun damage, wear glasses that block 99 to 100 percent of UVA and UVB radiation.
  7. Use cosmetics and lip protectors with an SPF of at least 15 to protect skin all year.
  8. Swimmers should remember to regularly apply sunscreen. UV rays reflect off water and sand, increasing the intensity of UV radiation and making sun protection especially important.
  9. Be aware that some medication, such as antibiotics, can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun.
  10. Children need extra protection from the sun. One of two blistering sunburns before the age of 18 dramatically increases the risk of skin cancer. Encourage children to play in the shade, wear protective clothing and regularly apply sun cream.

I increased my risk of cancer the second I started breathing after I was born, I increase it by eatting most things and I probably increase it by most things I do day to day. :)
