I ask because my girlfriend's grandma, auntie and cousins have already got their decorations up. Madness isn't it? I got brought up with the notion of putting them up about 2 weeks before!

no man get it up there and make sure the neighbors see how keep the family is.

I dont celebrate xmas, but I would put a tree up with lights and bubbles.

This year I have no tree, but from next xmas

There's a place that sprung up in a car park over the road last week selling Christmas Tree's...

Local pub has decorations all over the place too. They're quite tasteful however.

A week before and a week after christmas. No more, loses all festivity otherwise.

I saw someone with them up (all lights outside and that) in early october, I felt like going and ****ing all over them then dropping a turd on their doorstep for good measure.

It is still too early.

Though not quite as bad as the decorations in the shopping centres - some have been up since october!

lies golden rule is 12days before they go up and 12 days after they come down

Whatever happened to the twelve days of christmas??

This

My sister wanted to put them up in her house, her boyfriend & I have said if they are put up before the 12th December we're going to throw them out the window & burn them!

Across the road from her there has been a house that has had them up since the beginning of November :/

Why do people put them up so early, no way you can enjoy them or feel festive at all if they've been up for more than a couple of weeks.
So by the time you get to christmas you've ruined it.
