Too scared to buy a new monitor (I have Pixel problems!)...

Hi folks, looking to upgrade my 19" IIyama with something bigger (Probably 24") but I have a real problem with dead / stuck pixels on my screens eek: Sad, I know!).

Other than the Dell that comes with the Premium Guarantee (That doesn't seem to cover dead pixels?) what are my options to minimise the chances of any pixel issues occuring?

The "Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor [2408WFP]" looks like a beauty but does that model come with any cover or have any issues like the 2410 seems to have

You always have the DSR (distance selling regulations) to fall back on I suppose. That way, if it had a dead pixel on delivery you can ship it back. I think that should be ok.

As for developing dead pixels, it's not quite as common as people make out I think.

I have never actually developed a dead or stuck pixel but seem to have had more than my fair share on delivery of new panels / screens / handhelds etc!

It seems the 2408 is at firmware A02 now (?), has anyone bought one from OcUK recently that can confirm they are supplied with this?
