Hi

After reading a thread where Toryglen-boy was scrutinized because him and his brother bought a 300ZX which some members believe he tried to pass off as his own i had a great ideo for a thread.

What are the best OcUK busts ?
I remember a member called Tom posting threads about his M3's (or similar BMW's) but in the end after some decective work it turned out he didnt own one.
Are there any more??

Post them here, im up for a long, humourous Bank Holiday Read...
 
Ok, its confession time, the bike isnt mine, its my dads but its so cool that I try to make people believe its my own

  • The guy with the Lotus Carlton
  • The guy who wanted to prove that a car was his so went out and took pictures there and then to prove it. Problem was that it was dark and the pictures he claimed he had just been out and taken were in daylight on a beautiful day

There were more recent ones but I can't remember.
 
The guy with the mate with the Pug that had a screw mod and had 300bhp or something like that. It was a gold one, thats all i remember

It was me and a couple of other guys that busted him, his was in GD though, and I cannot remember for the life of me what on earth it was all about :p

edit - I remember, he had been nicking graphic design work off DeviantART and passing it off as his own. This was noticed when he went from something that looked like a disabled monkey had drawn in paint, to something some of the photoshop pros here would have trouble competing with.


I also remember people telling me I was wrong and should shut up when I was accusing Tom of BSing with his BMWs, and the way he conviently crashed it the day before he was going to get to a meet to show everyone his car :rolleyes:

Gun9 deserves a mention, despite some people going "OMG HE SHOWED U LOLZ!" because it was his, they seem to miss the fact the specs he listed were a load of crap.

the guy with a 205 with quattro drivetrains, a lotus carlton clutch, ferrari engine etc?

that guy with the blue escort whichw as apparently a 600 bhp engine, but at meets he swapped it to a 1.8 zetec

Ah yes I remember that, someone came across her picture on bebo or faceparty or similar and she claimed she was called something completely different to what Mk1 claimed :D
 
The pic of the girlie and supposed girlfriend post was tops for me.
On top of all that the same pic was sent to me via MSN from a contact claiming she was in contaact with him. :p

Classic in every sense of the word.

Salvatore posted some artwork in GD claiming it was his but was busted when somebody found the same artwork posted months ago on somebodys website. However he replied saying the website was his and even got hold of the guys msn account on the website (he was related to him somehow) to prove it was his work. Everyone who had been calling bs on him had egg on their face but unfortunatly for Salvatore someone got hold of the real person who had done the artwork and the author posted on the website that Salvatore had stolen it :D

He also claimed he was doing a rally apprenticeship for Peugeot and had a 330D which was probalby bs but I don't think this was proven.

He made a new account under the name Human torch but got



after accidently signing off as Salvatore :D
 
Someone posted some artwork of cars in the motors section, saying he had drawn it and painted it in, we found the original image and did some photoshop paint effect to look just like it in 2 seconds, he claimed to have spent ages doing them :rolleyes:
