have about 850 to spend on a toshiba laptop
finding the right one has been a nightmare would like the 7 series c2d with the best graphics i can get
all the new ones on toshibas site have the intel 950 video or nvidia 110
a number of sites have there own model numbers with geforce go cards but what to get?

I managed to get myself a Dell 6400 a month ago for £800 :D .
A core 2 duo T5600 1.83GHz, 2gb pc5300, 1200gb HDD, Geforce go 7300 256mb, 15.4 screen, Vista Ultimate.
It's okay gaming for 800 quid. Not stunning. But Okay.

OMG 1.2tb of HDD space in a laptop for £800quid :o

I picked up my Acer laptop in october for about £850 which is:

C2D 1.83, 2gb ram, Nvidia 7600, 160gb hard disk, 17" widescreen. Plays modern games nice on sensible settings.

thanks vlad

thats just what i have been looking for,
shows how little things have got better with laptops, as my three year old toshiba has a fx5200 in it and is still half way up the list !
trying to find one with a x1600 but they seem to have dropped this in favour to the very average intel 950.
