If that's the official process in the case of a tied vote following a recount, what's the problem?

Ultimate fighting cagematch between the candidates?

Fight to the death would get my vote. That way its win/win. We lose one politician, and gain the better man :p

We'd probably just get the sneaky one that blindsided his opponent when he wasn't looking, no different to present really but you are right we'd be one politician down (or is that up since it is a net gain to the country?). Actually thinking about it, I'm all for this strategy. :D
