OK, I'm old and stupid .....

Why can't I either click on a public profile or whatever and just contact a don/admin etc? I rarely have to do it but find it a chore rather than "dead easy" ...... more importantly, I actually WANT something, so it would be nice to be able to contact Mr Orifice directly ....
