Toyota FT 86

it has scooby engine though so could easily make it as powerful as you want. I think it would handle good too.

Don't get me wrong I think it could be a pretty impressive car with the right small mods. But I bet it aint that light and not sure if it will have a lsd. If it has a open diff it won't be anywhere near fun enough.

As with all ranges, Subaru don't just make turbo nutter engines, i.e. I wouldn't expect the 1.5 Impreza to be quick just because it has a scooby engine :)

Well, the article states that a Toyota version will be our first and then the Subaru later on. My bets would be the Toyota being a more sedate NA version and the Subaru will be getting some forced induction.

Looks good though. If they stick an oil burner in it - I might even be interested. :p

I didn't notice that Subaru was making their own version of it, I also think they will make it their own with forced induction and wrx suspension
.

I would expect an LSD as Toyota are aiming for both a race and drift car.
There is talk of having a cheaper, stripped out version for racing as well.

Very unlikely it will have an open diff considering just about every hot FR Toyota ever made has had an LSD, and the 'predecessor' had a clutch pack diff as standard.

That is a great looking car. Looks like a modern car should look IMO.

I hope they keep it simple and raw (as raw as a modern car can be these days anyway).
