Hi, long time since i have posted in here. My brother is turning 30 in December and my sister wants to get him a trackday and asked me for advice. I know usually people go for the supercars, but I know my brothers favourite car is the Supra and absolutely loves the Fast and the Furious films, so was thinking this trackday would be ideal. Has anyone been one a similar one and can recommend it, or know if this one looks any good as I have 0 experience with track days.

You apparently get 3 laps in each car for this price, then can pay for a further 3 laps in each car on the day. I feel like this should be enough to have a good time and coming from a 1.6l Focus I'm thinking these cars should be more than enough.

You're probably quite limited by choice of days/events as you want very specific cars, I'd confirm that they have both cars running as you wouldn't want to get there and be told only.one is running on the day.

December might not be the best month for it?

Yeah, I think she's thinking of getting him the ticket, but booking it for around march time.

Thats a good point regarding both cars running. The Supra would be the main car he'd want to drive, so maybe it would be better to just go for a Supra only trackday? If he got there and the Supra was out of action he'd be gutted i think.

The company who run those cars is "Car Chase Heroes" if you wanted to go direct.
Thanks. It looks like they do similar prices, but offer just the Supra and have the extra 3 mils for £29 extra on their site, rather than some unknown "on the day" price.

I have found another company that do the Supra, but its more expensive and doesn't have the rear wing on the car oddly. I'd have thought they would make it look exactly like the car from the film and knowing my brother it's the first thing he'd pick up on. This is "Evo X, Impreza STi or BMW M3) for 3 track paced sighting laps and 1 high speed passenger lap to get a feel for basic racing lines, before taking your chosen supercar for 10 laps under 1:1 instruction" which does also sound pretty good.

Should damage be caused to a vehicle as a result of a participants driving, our participants accept to paying excess costs required to make good the damage – limited to £1400 excl. VAT in any one case.

I'm guessing this is why . You don't happen to know how much the "optional damage waiver" is do you? It says you can pay that on the day, but doesn't say how much it would be.

Looks like the first company also has the damage waiver. The cynic in me is thinking this is an expensive scam, shouldn't this be included in the price?

The "damage waivers" seems like a bit of a con, it's not actually an insurance and it looks like it's just to avoid paying them for any damage to the car (up to a certain amount). But what if you damage something else or injure someone?

Might be better to get some real insurance instead. Probably won't be any more expensive for one day :p

I can't remember, I'd imagine whatever insurance they have on the cars carries a hefty excess hence either billing you or paying the waiver

Injuries to other people is what they have public liability insurance for
