TP-link TL-WN851ND driver for Windows 8?

I just stuck this adapter into my pc from my dads desktop downstairs as he's now using an ethernet connection however the driver doesn't support windows 8?

Is there a third party driver for it that supports windows 8 or should I install the driver in windows 7 compatability mode?

Can anyone help with this as I'm reinstalling windows on my computer and would install W8 if this driver is going to work?

Connect your computer to the internet via Ethernet then let Windows search for a driver, I'm pretty sure there is a driver available in the windows update database.

Get the latest 32bit (x86) or 64bit WLAN pack from here

http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest

Extract it using 7zip or Winrar to say C:\Drivers\

Then point Device Manager at that folder.

Windows 8 might have a generic driver for that device or there might be one available through windows update, but it might be that the device will be identified by whatever wireless chipset (if that's the way to say it) is used in the device and not the name of the device.
