Ok what gives? I have disabled the throttle function in the BIOS yet cpu-z still reports that the system is throttling. I have set the buss speed to 463 and the multiplier to x 8. This should give me about 3.7Ghz. cpu-z jumps between 2781 Mhz and 3705Mhz. If I run orthos it jumps to 3.7 and stays there. Both orthos and windows report the wrong speed, it's calculating a x9 multiplier which gives 4.17!!!!

Anyone had the same issue and know of a work around to turn of the throttle issues?

Sorry about the pics, I am learning and will get there in the end....

Have you disabled EIST & C1E in the BIOS, there also might be another option to disable which should be shown in the manual.

Some programs report the default multiplier of the cpu.
