Trackers: worth it?

I had one on the Scoob, and only because insurance required it. I stupidly paid for lifetime subscription too, £600 all in.

As above, I wouldn't actually want the car back, so wouldn't fit one out of choice.
 
I agree with what a few people have mentioned here, I personally I wouldnt want my car back after it had been stolen and ragged around by some joyrider. I would rather never see it again and claim the insurance to be honest.

I can understand why some people would want certain cars back, one that they have put a lot of effort in to customising and upgrading or a car thats special for some other reason, but in general, if you have a mainstream unmodified car, personally Id sod the tracker as I would never want the car to recovered if it was stolen.

Not worth it on: £50,000 prestige cars that are still in production and you can get a new one anyway
Worth it on: Older, rare cars that are no longer in production, and/or have many modifications, and would be difficult to replace
