I am thinking about trading in my DS lite for a PSP today. Main reason being is all I want to play is footy games like Fifa 07 and Cm06/FMPSP. I have been playing Fif 06 on the DS lite, but it doesnt have half the options like management mode does on the PSP.
I dont tend to play any other type of game, so please put my mind at ease, am I doing the right thing. I cant see a football manangment sim coming out on the DS either.

NO DON'T DO IT

I have a PSP. If you would like I could demonstrate my hate for such an overpriced piece of (admittedly good looking) tat by setting it on fire?

I know that the PSP has more football games, but trust me, you will regret it.

If you want to swap so you are able play games you prefer, then seems like sense to me.

Doesn't make how good/bad a console is, if it doesn't have the games you want to play then it's not much use.

Ignore SiD tbh, he doesn't even give a reason :p

Basically look at the games catalogues on both systems, go with the one where the games appeal to you, its as simple as that.

And if you like football games pro evo 5 is also on the PSP ;)

if i remember correctly, Sid was one of the biggest posters about the psp when it came out. he loved his psp when he 1st got it.

i say yeah go for it, if it has the games your after then why not ?

Indeed he was.
Personally I think you'd be mad, I much prefer the DS Lite and think it's far better than the PSP, however neither handheld will get played as much as a regular console for me.

Quite possibly may be, i just said ignore him because he doesnt give a reason :p

I bought a DS lite a few months ago because I was very disapointed with the PSP. DS as games which will kill and social life you have. :D

Correct. I even created two FAQs on the thing. Then after the initial fuzz and hype wore off, I've come to realise that all the games I want for it I already have on the PS2, the analogue nub is dreadful, the process for watching movies is convoluted... I could go on. The DS on the other hand has a tonne of games I love playing. I don't own one, I just steal my bros now and then. Its so much better.

Of course that doesn't mean you have to follow my opinion, but take heed once the initial month or so of fun wears off, you'll wonder why you spent so much money on the thing to play poor ports, when you could be playing fun games (and yes, ports too) on the DS.

Just thought i'd add, pro evo 6 is coming out on ds. ;)

Yes you are mad :p

On a side note I heard that pes and fifa don’t play really well on the psp and they are missing a lot of feature of the home console versions

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 8.8
FIFA 06 8.7
FIFA Soccer 8.3

Fair enough im just going on what ive heard.

If the games you want are on the PSP then go for it, i spent ages playing fifa 06 on my PSP whilst my DS was doing nothing, now i spend ages playing my DS whilst my PSP gets covered in dust.

Things will change when FFVII finally gets released but thats hpw it is, if you'll play fifa/pro evo/FM07 non stop then get a PSP.
