Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

First GKP then CNR! Been a good week for me to get into oil! :D

Now thinking of dumping CNR and adding to MXP, got high hopes for that one...

Got lucky with RKH but think I'm going to take a break for a bit whilst I do a bit of reading. Ordered the Naked Trader book so that should be arriving within the week.

I'm new to buying shares and was wondering if someone could explain t+3. From what I can gather it takes 3 days for the trade to happen, so if I make a order for the shares but during the three days the price goes up do I pay the price that I agreed too or the price on the third day?

CNR should have a re-rate on the 31st March, might be worth holding out for another week.
The key is 'should'. It should've had the same in late Jan too. I've held since Dec so let's hope it works this time :p

Same with OTC, RKH, BMR...

RRL is my favourite at the moment, 20p out of nowhere after languishing around 5/6p for almost a year, I almost gave up on them.

"The market is the transfer of money from the impatient to the patient" and all that!

NG picking up of late which is nice, hopefully it will sustain and gain for some time, although sp not a concern due to nice divi. My other holds just seem to bimble along HER, RRR, where as RGM , OTC make me want to cry :o Still makes me happy I sold the remaining RRL at nigh on the 52wk high....... that wasn't well judged, but luck, mostly though learning my greed lessons on other missed opportunities :p

In February. I bought last year £300k at 58p went up to 74p i sold and made 80k. I put all on Lloyds at 68p and down 50k currently

You are right, I never bought 364k :p

I never said that I did

That's a nice jump but putting it in all back into Lloyds probably wasn't your smartest idea. :p

Thought about resource extraction companies?

Still don't know if you're telling porkies though. :)

Chuck RRL (back) into your ISA before April :)

HER will be fine too, it's risen but not silly amounts like CNR/RRR so has plenty of room to go I think. Good management too which is primarily what I look for.

Nice rises on CNR and SAR today :)

Any recommended spreadbetting accounts?

I'd recommend not spreadbetting tbh...

There is prospreads - I believe they offer a sort of workaround to most of the problems associated with spreadbetting in that they actually execute your order in the underlying market and quote you a price that includes the commission and then call it a spread bet. Though I'd have thought (depending on how you trade) that your costs would likely be lower with a regular broker still.
