Jesus is a left back and i'm not sure Inter would be interested in selling.

Spurs look to be lining up Mateo Musacchio for around €20m.

I have no idea how good this chap is but I'm glad we are looking to strengthen weak areas rather than trying to buy another attacker and midfielder.

Rodgers confirmed tonight that Liverpool have no interest in Balotelli, however getting another striker in is "crucial".

Balotelli's an interesting one. On one hand he's in a very similar position to Coutinho and Sturridge when we signed them; a player with huge ability/potential that hasn't been able to fulfil it as yet.

The problem is if we aren't able to get him to live up to his potential, he's not then good enough to justify all the nonsense that comes with him. And unlike somebody like Suarez, who had his own issues, he's the sort of player that could have a serious negative effect on the dressing room as a whole and the progress of young players.

Doing Balotelli a bit of disservice there, he hasn't tried to eat people on three separate occasions.

Personally, i just think he's not shown enough, he's basically Ibra but without that real individual genius that gives him the room to act like a weirdo off the pitch.

I think Baz is trying to saying Ballotelli can upset the squad on and off the pitch while Suarez only upset the opposition.

I think Balotelli on a year loan with option to buy for the 14 mill at the end would have been perfect. As soon as he starts to act up (assuming he does) send him back to Milan, if he knuckles down and performs we get an absolute bargain. He has huge potential, if he had Suarez's work ethic he would be the best player in the world by some distance.

Any Forest fans on here? Are these 2 players Newcastle are buying and then loaning back any good?

Not a forest fan but from what I saw last season Lascelles is a good signing, and loaning him back is a sensible option because he's still young. He could develop into a really decent prem defender.

I'm not. He acts like a spoilt kid, he's lazy and fights with his manager and teammates on the training ground. That will upset the squad and set a bad example to younger players.

I can pretty confidently say that Suarez's teammates loved him and that the likes of Sterling won't go around biting people. He will however run himself into the ground, following the example set to him by Suarez.
