We've signed someone!!

FK Vojvodina have confirmed a deal has been finalised with Manchester United for Vanja Milinkovic.

Club president Zoran Scepanovic addressed a press conference to announce the details of the transfer of the 17-year-old goalkeeper.

"After lengthy talks that have taken place over the past month, we have finally completed negotiations on Monday and we can officially inform the public that our young and promising goalkeeper has joined Manchester United," said Scepanovic.

"He will remain in Vojvodina for the next year, where he will be under the supervision of our experts and coaches from the English football giants, while continuing to train and perform in the jersey of his home club. This is an opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the realisation of this transfer. Can I point out Manchester United's very correct attitude."

it's a start?

The Chile manager has only gone on the radio and talked about our 'transfer' for Vidal and current concerns over his knee, which is holding it up.

Wonder how current his info is ( will he really have spoken to Vidal already after the world cup....)?

No idea, but it's interesting and confirms we at least have had some interest in him (which is more or less a given, anyway). The figure we're talking about is £47.5m though, so you'd understand if we're being extremely careful regarding his knee.

Busbybabes while reporting this same interview says Vidal ismt in Juve's squad for todays game.....it could mean nothing with the knee of course

Well he's not really fit at the moment, but you'd expect him to be on a preseason bench unless he's actually still injured.

The issue is as well, Juventus keep making it clear they'll sell him for a large fee, and have been dropping hints that we'd need to do a deal quickly, if one was to be done. Do they maybe think his knee might not be worth the potential risk of turning down the best part of £50m? They might be trying to pull a fast one.

He left the WC fit ( or at least game fit, although he was still recovering post-op), and surely we would have heard if he got injured during a training session.

Knee problem due to long flight to jakata? Might be the cause even for pampered football players lol
