So I've never watch cuardrado running around and thought, wow he's immensely skillful or talented, let's part with 30 million for him? I know he has a bit of energy and has also played right back before. But really?

Does your whining ever cease?

"Rafael is ****, we need someone in his position. I don't know why we're going after Vidal, he's a wing back. Cuadrado, eurgh, he's no good!"

You know so little for man with so many posts...

was about to say the same thing.

he's got malcontent written all over him :p

BBC Sport said:
Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has agreed personal terms with Manchester United on a £182,000-a-week contract, reports Italian newspaper La Stampa.
Italian champions Juventus are said to have asked for a final decision from Vidal on whether he plans to leave or not on Wednesday and La Stampa reports he has agreed terms on a five-year deal.

Please be true

Nobody. I was just pointing out how we go through the same routine every 6 months with 1000000 post about a certain player that doesn't end up joining.

I've got to agree with you there BaZ, same ****, different window. And every day seems to be the same rumours being recycled when it comes to these players. It's quite tedious.

Juve rumoured to be interest in Wilshere though, now that's interesting.

If you believe the media Utd are also in talks for Guarin, De Jong, and Benatia today ( as well as "final" decision demanded from Juve about Vidal and the upped Vermaelan bid to Arsenal)

Cant imagine both of the 1st two being signed unless its instead of Vidal. Roma's Benatia is still very much a long shot imo and likely to be very expensive for his age (~35m +?)

At the top of the BBC rolling transfer page it states Vidal has signed a Utd contract......which is critically different from agreeing terms stated in the main page.....

PSG has also distanced themselves from the too expensive Di Maria on the same BBC page.

Agger's apparently asked to leave Liverpool. Another player that was fantastic for us until Rodgers arrived despite being almost perfect for the way we now play.

Honestly don't think we're going to find the players Rodgers wants in defence because there's a fundamental problem with the way we now play in so much as it's heavily biased towards attack at the expense of solid defending.

Hopefully Sakho continues to improve and Lovren comes in and hits the ground running.

Agger's not been the same since his back injury and has suffered consistently with general injuries, dont think Rodgers is the main reason for his decline and age is no longer on his side either.

I'm fairly content with the sale of Agger, the price being touted is £12m and I don't think we will ever get more than that for him from this point on. At his best, he is a great defender, but he has been plagued with injuries. We should be able to pick up a decent young defender with that £12m.

Vidal, and Vermaelen, and Cuadrado OH MYYYYYYY

don't forget Di Maria :D

e:

some optimistic person posted this on the caf earlier, it is jizz-worthy imo (which means it's beyond not happening lol)

12 million is a great price - as others have stated doesn't appear to fit into what Brendan wants. Bit of a mythos about him as this hansenesque ball playing CB, but he is actually the weakest CB we have in terms of bringing the ball out of defense and retaining possession (remember reading an article about his stats from last season and the few seasons before).

Doubt he would be replaced as we have Sahko, Lovren, Skittles and Toure/Coates with Illori & Wisdom out on loan.
