So we're linked with falcoe tbh Id take him but every one else say Madrid bound but don't see how he would get game time there

Yeah, done deal to Real Madrid, more or less.

No idea how they're going to fit all these players into the team, especially if Di Maria stays. It's ridiculous.

Yup if they don't win la liga with there squad it would be funny though, Di maria is probably demanding allot in wages though he is one of there better players imo

It seems it's a case of preventing the opposition from getting stronger than one of need for Real.

I would personally pay Vidal 182k per week if it put an end to this tedious transfer 'saga'.

A generous offer, I'm sure he'd take wages from you and from Man Utd, double the pay for no extra work doesn't sound all that bad to me. :p

I suggest it every transfer window, but I'm going to suggest it again...

Can we have a separate thread for Man United fans to discuss their own transfer windows rumours. 212 pages of nothing but rumours and only 1 solid signing so far is a joke!

To be fair with Herrera and Shaw it's two signings at least unless one of them isn't solid...

Wonders if Juve really have allowed Vidal to fly to England for a full medical before the clubs agree a deal (its the Star so its not exactly reliable)

United want Arturo Vidal to pass a stringent medical BEFORE they even consider agreeing any club record fee with Juventus for the midfielder.

And the Italian giants are prepared to meet United's demands by allowing the Chile World Cup star to fly to England to undergo tests on his fitness.

Come on Frank...

I'm sure this was agreed and Woodward was straight on the phone to the Daily Star to tell them. :p

Given that it sounds like Juve need some big money to rejuvenate their own squad (even without Vidal leaving) - isnt this just a means to an end for them as well - given the players recent injury. (and this is without the possible pressure Vidal / his agent may be putting on behind the scenes to get the move agreed)

I would agree that someone without such a recent injury it would just be speculation.

(The express are also now using the same kind of theme, but arent they the same media group?)

The Express are absolutely awful, just as bad as the Daily Star.

Today's stuff is all based on what La Stampa said - who, according to most decent journalists, are reliable. All they said is Vidal is choosing between us and Juve, and we're going to more than double his salary. Sky Sports have reported on it, and said we're "unavailable for comment", so maybe they'll find something out.

I do think it's very much a possibility, if we're satisfied with his knee. Juventus can still cruise to the Serie A title without him. I think there's far too much in this for it be pure media rumours.

All the rest of it, and the reasons he'd join us have been discussed enough already. Safe to say that, whoever our targets are, we're giving nothing away...

Edit:

Sounds like Barcelona have got Vermaelen, €13m.

Glad that Tommy V will most likely be going abroad. Made no sense for us to strengthen a rival for such a small amount of cash. I'd rather have held onto him for the year and lost him on a free next year.

Juve know that vidal is a high risk to them if they keep him and know his value will drop by 20 mill or so over the next season. Hence they don't want to be shown to be forcing him out but truly they'd love to cash in.

La Stampa are saying this morning that Juventus have set a deadline of August 15th (Friday), after that, Vidal can't leave. People generally seem under the impression that the guy behind this article is reliable - I don't know myself. They also 'confirmed' that Vidal has been thinking of leaving since the World Cup, and if we're going to pay him more than double what he's on now, that would make sense.

Still nothing on our end, though... I think we've had genuine interest and perhaps sorted a deal with the agent, but we may have pulled out over the price/knee issue, hard to say.

So if something is going to happen, it'll likely be soon.

Didn't we hear the exact same thing about the 1st August and the 6th August?

A lot of reports yesterday that Mangala is set to fly to Manchester in the next 48 hours to complete his move. That's been as much of a saga as the Vidal on(e).

Shame for Nastasic IMO, he had a really good season in his first year and showed a lot of potential for a youngster. Pellegini doesn't seem to rate him though and he does seem to be regularly hampered by injury.

Sounds like Vermaelan deal is off as Arsenal didnt want just cash but were after Smalling as well

Sounds like LvG is going to try for Benatia which appears a really good choice, might be hard to obtain though
