Been 2 years since I have been away, I cant remember what the best TC was to buy, I think it was Sterling, has it changed? Whats the best CE on Cheequres.

Also is Travelex anybody?

I always take sterling and get it cashed at a local bank. You need to cash a fair amount at a time to make comission negligable though. I believe the sterling ones can be used anywhere if you don't use them all, and are probably easier to cash back in the UK.

I think it was sterling what I took, last time I heard there was a big scam with the € going about..

It most likely would have been. I'm pretty sure most places offer sterling as default anyway. The best place to get up to date information would probably be your bank. They may give special deals to their own customers, eg comission free at a higher rate than the post office.

I have a RBS Royalties account I think they offer a decent commision.
