Many years ago I took out a mobile phone offer on o2 from a company called my mobiles, several years later they were purchasd by vodafone which put me in the odd situation of recieving a monthly bill from vodafone for an o2 contract.
This situation was fine until now, my handset has died and for the first time vodafone are refusing to replace it or renew my contract unless I move to a genuine vodafone contract. This is no use to me as my whole family are on o2 and 99% of my calls etc are too o2 numbers.
So I thought I would just take out a new o2 contract and then get my PAC code and port my number over however you can't do this as you can't port a number on the same network.
Anyone been in a similar situation and got any advice?
