As title, any ideas? ubuntu seems to install with XP just fine, however trying to add ubuntu to triple or even just dual boot with vista 32bit doesnt seem to work, only ubuntu appears in the grub menu

Have a look around for something called GRUBED or similar. Its a nice utility that lets you easily configure the grub.conf file. Basically GRUB/Ubuntu didn't recognise Vista, so didn't add it to the list.

You can add it yourself using GRUBED :)

You should always install microsoft operating systems first as microsoft do not support linux but linux supports windows.

So xp/vista in first then put in ubuntu with any free space.

Ive got this all up and running ok, but doesnt just come up in grub, i installed xp, then vista and then ubuntu, on the grub there is ubuntu and vista and when you go into vista u have the option for xp

ideas I have for you are try: sudo update-grub in terminal which should regenerate the boot menu.

last resort ideas are to edit your /boot/grub/menu.lst

To edit files as a administrator user, use this command: gksudo nautilus
You could make a desktop shortcut or something.

If still no luck.. post the output of sudo fdisk -l from terminal then I can see how your computer is set up.
