I'm looking for some advice on choosing monitors for a triple monitor setup. I’ve been using a dual monitor setup at work for years and find it really helps my productivity. However, at home I’m still only using a single monitor (Viewsonic VX924 19" LCD TFT).

Requirements
My budget is really tight at around £400-£500;

Desirable
1920*1080 resolution
Space is at a premium. If I can get the specs I want in a 21.5” size, then I prefer that over a 24” size.
Actve displayport
Symmetrical design
LED backlighting

My main use will be web/MS Office as well as (amateur) photo and (AVCHD) video manipulation, but I also enjoy plenty of gaming, though RTSs/MMOs are much more frequent than FPSs. In this regard, I’d like either eyefinity or whatever alternatives there are out there, though I don’t need it right now as I’m still using a 8800GTX at the moment. However, I do want to span the desktop across 3 screens.

In addition, I watch a reasonable amount of video on my PC, so I’m keen to have a 1920x1080 resolution. However, I do have a media PC setup (similar specs to my main rig) on my 50” Panasonic plasma in the lounge, so it’s not my primary media/movie PC .

At the moment I’m looking at 3* BenQ G2222HDL at a total of £420.

Pros
Price
1920*1080
LED Backlighting
21.5” Screen

Cons
No Active displayport (would need £80 adaptor for eyefinity)
They’re not symmetrical, so may look odd in a triple setup (really picky I know)

I really am tempted by these for my needs, but naturally if there’s something that’s better I’d like to know. Any advice or recommendations appreciated.

Current Rig: Q6600 2.4GHz stock, Asus P5K, 4GB DDR2, Asus 8800GTX, 1* WD 74Gb Raptor, 1* Seagate Barracuda 500GB, LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray & HD-DVD Reader / DVD Writer, 700W Tagan Dual Engine TG700-U25 V2, Coolermaster Wavemaster Tac-T01-EK, Windows 7 Ultimate

The problem I see with using the BenQ HDBL series (great monitors, don't get me wrong) is the glossy bezel. It will probably be too distracting in a multi-monitor setup.

Considering space etc. is at a premium and given your requirements - I'd recommend 3 x BenQ V2210 ECO. Less glossy bezel than the HDBL, very good image quality, LED backlit etc. 21.5" screens and around £150 each.

just to let you know I had 2 of the 19" versions of them BenQ monitors, and they really are impressive, they look nice together even though they have the lowered button area.

After a quick look I found these to be the closest match to what you require
but are over budget so confirms Slackworth's comment ;)
and theres only 1 in stock at the moment - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-038-DE

Pros
Active displayport
1920*1080
21.5” Screen

Cons
Price (£176.99 * 3 = £530.97)
No LED Backlighting

No idea about them being symmetrical or not

These are a very good option mate.

My mate just recently built an eyefinity wth 3 of these and the bezles are very thin and Displayport is built in.

Perfect monitors just a shame they are not 24"
