Im after a tri pod for no more than £100 that is what im allowed to get one with. It needs to be smooth panning and up and down. My £5.00 asda one isn't good enough for accuracy and well is a pain int he ass tbh.

Any ideas or links.

Yeh the problem ive had is taking product photos close up as its dead jurkey when moving it around. I just need it to be smooth so i can nudge the camera into position.

TBH second isn't that easy as we need receipts. Allso we get back the VAT (20%) anyway.

So for every £100 spent we only pay £80

Oky i actucaly got off my fat ass today and went to currys and several camera shops.

I saw the red snapper (ball one) and several other balls ones and IMHO was not impressed. (don't slate me im not a pro just mho). Any way after spending a hour or so mulling from one shop to another i cam across the Manfrotto Range of tri pods and i decided on getting a Manfrotto 190XDB, 391RC2 (head).

Now ill explain why.

1) I wasnt bothered about the weight of the tripod as Im not running up and down hill sides hoping to catch a quick shot of some sky line or some flower.. I just want some thing strong and sturdy.

2) I have no interest in a bubble spirit level to tell me if the ground it not perfect .. i don't care ...

3) All the Ball heads i played with were in no way smooth (not until you start paying £150+) once i fitted and camera to them and seemed jerky to me. I need smooth for macro shots. All so i hated the feeling of them :(.

4) £75.00 from pc ***** (hmmm well it a competitor so cannot finish that sentence off) on offer

5) It amazingly smooth and feels realy nice. It is very sturdy and unlike them snap on legs its uses thumb screws which to makes it feel stronger.

Now jessops do the same model http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/80662/show.html how ever its more expensive and nope it did not come with a bag but i don't care i have my old one from my crappy £5.00 asda tripod i can use :) ...lol - a quick look you can get this for cheaper from dixsons -> http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/manfro...8d9b-22e0185f57a7&istItemId=xmrmwppr&istBid=t

From my small experience so far one thing i would say .. don't order any thing off the net till you have actually felt them in your hands.
