Just noticed on a couple of major retailers websites that Giottos have put together a tripod deal for about the £75-£80 mark. This consists of a MTL9251B tripod and a MH5011 head. The deal seems to cover all that I currently need in a tripod setup. So was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of these?

I'm looking for a new monopod and was drawn to the Redsnapper site. Looking at the reviews and comments on the tripod's and the monopods it looks like I might end-up buying both...

I can vouch for redsnapper.

i have the 283 legs with the large ball head. very stable tripod!

Ok so I went and bought the Giottos deal. I really like it. It's got everything I could think of needing. It's fairly lightweight, the head seems of a high enough quality. Movement feels nice and it stays solid with my heaviest lens attached (Minolta 70-210 f4 "beercan"). The head also has enough spirit levels to set it level in any situation I could care to think of.

In time I might decide I need a ball head, but for now this'll do me just fine.
