i decided to get myself into the classic car game to join the old boy. i've always wanted a triumph spitfire, but i've been having a problem trying to find one for the past few months.
anyone know of a dealer in scotland?

A Triumph Dealer? Pass me my Tardis! :D

Anyway - yes, I know where you're coming from. Unfortunately, I don't know (off the top of my head) of anyone up that way.

Best advice - get a copy of "Triumph World" from Smiths, along with local Autotrader, Friday Ads, etc etc. There'll be some in there - and there are a few Scotland based ones that spring up on Fleabay from time to time? Practical Classics also has an excellent used/dealer section in the back, along with Classic Car Monthly.

:)

Any questions, you know where to find me - on what to look for, what to expect and so on

nah i've fallen in love with the spit, it'll be either a spit or a gt4. but the insurance on a gt4 is too much i think.
i've been keeping an eye out on autotrader, and in the local classifieds. best i can find is birmingham, there were two near me but they are both gone.

Theres one in kirkcaldy called Chic Doig I think and one in Lundin Links but can't remember the name - its on the main road.

Both deal in all sorts o old car restos but predominantly triumph and others of the leyland ilk

i phoned him up this morning, but he doesn't have anything suitable, just basically wecked spits at the moment. bah looks as if its gonna be a long search.
