Tropico 3 or Anno 1404 ?

The other 'versus' thread looked quite good and informative, so i thought i'd ask the question.

I will take advantage of the new Steam Sale and buy one of these ...

Anyone who played both, or even one of them, could you recommend one over the other ?

I trust you to point me in the right direction for my next Steam purchase

Anno 1404. I'm interested in both but after playing both demos I found it to have stronger gameplay than Tropico 3.

Not played Tropico 3 beyond the demo, but Anno 1404 is definitely recommended. I can't help you pick one over the otehr - but buy Anno.

Anno is a good choice, plenty of fun can be had with that (never played Tropico though)

I had far more fun with Anno 1404 over Tropico. Anno lasted much longer gameplay wise and was more fun but Tropico was still a good game just a shame it got boreing fast.
