** True keyboard connoisseurs - LOOK IN HERE! **

They're only noisy depending on the switch you're using and how hard you're typing. The whole point of tactile and clicky switches is to change the way you type by not depressing the key to the bottom of it's length of travel. Reds have no bump or click and I love them because they're silent.

The Trigger keyboard offers you the ability to press up to 6 keys simultaneously and utilize five programmable macro keys with profile management. These features give you the possibility to reduce transport and redeployment times by storing profiles and key assignments with 64KB of onboard memory. Next to this, the multi-media controls allow you to quickly adjust for example audio options to make working with the Trigger even easier.
A detachable wrist rest and non-slip rubber coating make sure you have maximal comfort and results while gaming, by providing proper support for wrists and reducing unwanted keyboard movements or slides.
The 18K gold plated ultra low latency USB connectors and the integrated two port USB 2.0 hub of the Trigger give you the option to connect other peripheral devices. A high-grade braided cable ensures that the keyboard and connected peripherals maintain a solid link to your PC or notebook.
For people who use their gaming keyboard in a dark environment, the Trigger also offers some nice back lighting options. You can either choose to have all the keys highlighted with Red LEDs, highlight only the WASD and arrow keys or have the LEDs in a breathing mode.

Honestly until you have used a mechanical switched keybaord you will not understand.

Lol mate but know what you mean!

I think Browns are the better than Blacks/Blues, they offer the benefits of both with none of the downsides.

Not tried Reds mind, when I got my Filco they were hard to find.

I bought the CMStorm Trigger at the Gadget Show for £100 a few weeks back, well worth it :)

I hope so, although i will miss the screen on my G15 i will have to use the OSD in progs in game now.

Trust me, you will not miss it. I thought the screen on my G15/G19 keyboards were an essential addition, especially for Ventrillo and HW monitoring.

Since I have been testing Mechanical Keyboards, I have tried out nearly every major release by each gaming vendor and also the keyboard specialist brands such as Das, Ducky, Filco etc and using a mech board is uncomparable.

sure, it is useful to have a monitoring screen, if Logitech decided to bring out a mech board with a switch type I like or the screen of a G19 as a standalone product, I would probably get it to have the best of both worlds.

Its totally worth it.

that mouse, is also a fantastic choice, I really want one since I tried it out.

hmm cant decide between the k90, mk-85 and the trigger. I do like having a set of gkeys on my current g15. How would you rate those three?

They are here!

tried out the Quick Fire rapid and it is superb.

feels brilliant, the rubberised feel on the exterior is real quality and the colour scheme looks subtle and cool

I was disappointed when I found that the version with red switches will not share this colour scheme of gunmetal grey and black. instead the red switch version will be black :(

Either way, the position of the keyboard is great and doesnt even require the tilt stands at the back to be raised.

cable braid quality is superb and it has routing to make the cable exit the rear of the board either from the left, right or middle depending where you have the monitor.

it is similar to my ducky board in this respect as you can set it up how you like.

the thing I like best out of this board over every other mech board and other keyboard I have used is that it feels stuck to the desk. it simply doesn't move which is brilliant for gaming.

not a massive fan of typing on black switches myself as it doesn't fit my typing style well, but the red switch version should be epic. cannot wait now I have seen this [even if they aren't releasing the red switch version in this arguably better colour scheme]

Purchased one of these today from you guys (CM Trigger). Must say that I am impressed. It is a joy to use. Taking a little while to get used to the fact that I don’t need to press the buttons down all the way to get the keys to work :p

I am coming from a Sidewinder X6 - Nothing wrong with that keyboard but I couldn't get away from the fact that it feels cheap and doesn't do the rest of my rig justice. This thing however exceeds expectations and fits in with the rest of my set up perfectly.

I haven't used a mechanical keyboard before so I have nothing to compare it to in that respect but the quality of the CM Trigger is very impressive. I went for this one because of the positive reviews and the fact that it has back lit keys (and there was £5 off - thanks). The keys are really responsive and the whole unit feels solid.

There is a video on the internet of CM driving over the keyboard with various vehicles to prove it's durability - what ever that has to do with day to day gaming - so I guess mine will be fine sat on the desk being tapped by my fingers (unless it goes out moonlighting while I am asleep - but at least I don't need to worry about it crossing the road).

Overall I am going to give full marks and it definitely gets my recommendation (for what it's worth ha ha)

Unfortunately for you guys at OCUK it does mean that I have pretty much finished the rig for now (should read - "have spent all of my money"). But then again I said that before you teased me into buying three of the sammy monitors and this lovely (but not essential) upgrade :D

not a massive fan of typing on black switches myself as it doesn't fit my typing style well

Won't be a problem for me as I have the typing skills of an asthmatic hamster at the best of times - which considering the amount of time I spend in front of a computer is quite depressing.
