The memory on the 780ti is full fat stuff with a large 384bit link though! Its a difficult decision between this and the 970!

Good upgrade for about 150 if you sell the 280.

I will base my decision on GTA5 benchmarks. If it is Vram hungry then ill swap it out for a 970.

I'd reckon the 980ti will be more than £500 making the SLI 780ti the cheaper option if you have the PSU to push it?

Ok so I can't play GTA on max setting because the gpu memory is too small. It is 2gb so does that mean when I get my 770 it will be the same thing? Just asking because if so I will be upgrading to the 4gb one

2gb is 2gb mate it will have the same problem

3gb at 4k is only restrictive if you want to use msaa which you dont need at 4k. Fxaa is fine and even that is not needed. I run shadows of mordor at 4k on a single 780ti

I made the same choice getting a second 780ti rather than 980ti which is taking too long to market. Can always sell the 780tis later
