** TRULY INSALE DEALS ON GTX 780Ti & GTX 770!! **

From what I've seen the 780ti is a better card than the 970 with slight performance benefits. I guess it really depends how much GTAV is worth to you.

Um I am not sure, I had ordered the 770 with 2gb but I changed it to the 770 with 4gb as it was only £30 more and I think it will come in handy for GTA and maybe future games. Could be wrong though I dont really know much about GTA

It will have no issues at all with 780Ti Sli it would more than likely run 3 of them without issue.

They perform about the same. The 970 could have future issues with it's gimped V-ram and exceeding the 3.5GB faster portion. The 780 ti may not get as much support when DX12 comes along.

I would personally go for a 780ti over a 970 but I would also consider a 290 or 290x over both of them.
 
I'm going to running one on a quite old Corsair HX620, should be ok but if not I'll upgrade to a psu that can cope with it. I pre ordered one of these 780ti cards when the offer first appeared and paid there and then. The deal really was too good to miss.

GTA 5 performance puts the 970 slightly above the 780ti a 1080p with the 290x marginally higher again. Shame the 290x's are so expensive now!
