Trying to create carbon fibre... but with colour

Howdy,

I'm trying to create a carbon fibre pattern but I want it to be red and black. I'm having a hard time creating a more advance pattern as seen here.

I think it's because I can't picture it in my head.

Anyone think they can help me out?

If you want the same weave effect but in a different colour, use that tutorial to create the weave, and then create a new layer above, and fill it with red. Then experiment with the colour layer's blending modes and opacity until you get what you're after.

The beauty of this method is that the colour can be changed at any time so there's no commitment to any one coloured weave
