I have no camera tog mates so i thought it would be cool to get to know some new people at a camera club and see if i can improve my talent. However it's only been a few sessions and i've became very bored, it goes on atleast 3hrs and the vast majority of people are old some are ancient with dribble, snot and smell bad :o

Anyone else not a lover of camera clubs?, everything is a damn slide show via a projector! i feel like i'm watching grannies best highlights of her holiday in egypt. :(

I have no tog mates to go out shooting with but that doesn't stop me taking pictures.

In the old days, before the rise of the internet, it was the way to get crit. Now, with forums, flickr, deviantart, blogs, etc etc etc, the net offers a lot of things camera clubs offers. Minus the smell :p

Plus, there are real, pretty girls photographers online ;)

Really?, i just end up with rather large ones with mental issues :D

But that's another story, still though i can't see me doing this camera club very long and i was really looking forward to it. It just doesn't keep my interest and as i said 98% of the club members are near enough dead

I've never been to a camera club or go out to shoot with people. It depends the kind of person you are I suppose.

You can always go to some OCUK photography meets, that's probably a lot more what you are looking for.

I used to go around various places with a mate that was getting into photography, but then he turned into a total hermit and I haven't seen him for 5 years! Shame really, his car was useful :D

OCUK meet could be my kind of thing ;), further more i don't see me getting my worth out of it. £20+ a year plus £1.50 per club session :|

Agreed.

Nowadays there are many way to get feedback.
Some types of feedback will even pay you....;)

I would also like to do some shooting with more experianced photographers but tbh I don't know any. It would be nice to have mates into it too to borrow each others kit and give tips on where I could improve. Raymond is only 30 mins down the road so may have to bug him for a master class. ;)
