Well after a wash and a wax the other day I decided that my car was a good subject like most peoples cars are, I wanted to see how good I could make the pictures look considering it was parked in my driveway, not the best location in the world....I think they have turned out pretty good, C+C welcome :D

Hi Stu, interesting shots. Good to see that a relatively normal subject can be made into a fun shoot.

#1 My only criticism is that the highlights are a bit over exposed, the headlight is a bit washed out. A CP filter might have helped in that respect.

#2 I like the focus being on the V6 badge but again the highlights on the side repeater are too bright, the detail is lost.

#3 Nicely cropped, makes you appreciated the shapes rather than 'what it is'

#4 the reflection in the paint work is cool but I don't think theres really a focal point in there, either more of the car should have been shown or maybe a bit more of the shiney exhaust.

#5 I like a lot, maybe clone yourself out of it though :p

#6 + #7 I like the sharpness to them but I think a variety in the depth of field would have been interesting, using different F-stops to get a specific area in focus or to highlight a more acute part of the engine bay. (like you have done in #2 with the V6 badge.

I'm not trying to be harsh, like you said it's not the most exciting location in the world but kudos to you for going out and taking the shots any way, I don't think I would have the drive to do it :)

Nice set of pics, those above are just suggestions for thinks I would consider next time.

Thanks for the comments mate and they are appreciated, something I can take onboard and try to implement in the future, I still am VERY new to this photography lark, lol.

Where did you take this picture? As I saw someone take pictures of a similar car in lake district last weekend.
Nowhere near the lake district mate, was at home on my driveway, nowhere special.

Well thanks for all the comments guys, it was a little difficult taking the pictures on my driveway, only a quick few shots really.

Next set will be at a good location once I get a few bits and bobs done on the car :D

Keep your eye out ;)
