I can't seem to find anywhere supplying decent turkeys for christmas, anyone care to recommend somewhere online or within like 20 miles of swindon?

Just go to your nearest farm shop, normally located in the countryside..

Order one up. Just do a search on yell, or even better get a recommendation.

Any good butcher will have a supply of decent turkeys coming in for Christmas.
There must be one of those near Swindon.

i usually go the butchers in upper stratton for my meat, but last year I got a turkey there it sucked and it cost me a bomb.
I don't want to pay an extortionate amount (and it will be this year) for crappy meat, i want a recommended place.

A good butcher will be able to supply you with a good bird. Look for a locally reared, free range, bronze as these are generally better. Alternatively, look at Copas turkeys as these have a good reputation and come with a sensor that lets you know when the bird is cooked (find them on the internet).

Personally I would have a goose anyway, but it depends on how many you're feeding.

Dont you have Asda or Tesco anywere near you? They sell Turkeys.
Very funny, I wouldn't buy a chicken leg from a supermarket let alone a turkey.

Nah I wouldn't want a goose, too fatty.
I'm gonna have a proper look in millets wednesday, want a really good turkey.

taste some qaulity meat and you would now. Go spend a £10 down your local farm shop.

Supermarket meat is cheap and tasteless, sadly it's all I can afford most of the time.

Thats a problem because there is no local farmshop. If tasting quality meat means ending up spending more money I would rather keep eating the meat I'm used to, I know no different so its not hurting anyone lol.
