How do you turn off dodge in UT3? It's so annoying!! I hate jumping where I don't want to just because I pressed one of the directions twice fast enough. I can't see the option anywhere in the menus. It's single-handedly destroying my enjoyment of the game.

I think there's an option to set how long between presses counts as a dodge, so you could just set that to maximum?

I've done that yeah, but the problem still largely persists. It's one of those games that has fast movement, and this kind of thing just completely pervades the gameplay. I am not really surprised that the game isn't very popular now. The original UT wasn't even anywhere near as bad as this with their dodge (which you could turn off completely).

dodging is what makes UT diffirent than Quake, its what made the original UT so popular :)

but to answer your question, there should be a mutator you can download to disable dodging

What a ridiculous statement, without dodge you'd not stand a change playing online, you need to be able to react as fast as possible so removing dodge or slowing down the double tap time is just going to hinder you. Just practise more with the current settings and you'll get the hang of it.

The main .ini files can be found under your \Documents and Settings\[User]\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config directory in Windows XP, or \Users\[User]\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config in Windows Vista.

In UTGame.ini change 'bEnableDodging=true' to False, you cannot use the standard dodge moves, namely double-tapping a movement key to dodge in that direction. There should be no reason to disable this, as dodging is an important part of UT.

Linky.
