Turn Table....

Heyhey guys!

im looking for a turn table for 7" vinyls...

BUT i want a fairly vintage looking one, im not really into all this bright silver stuff all over the place... got a budget of around £110... give or take im not really fussed

Likely to get a better response in the hi-fi forum.

At that budget, you're probably looking at a new Pro-ject Debut III (£120) or a Goldring 1.2 (£110). You may be able to (but unlikely) pick up a 2nd-hand Rega Planar 2 [classic turntable] or such for a little over your budget - might need replacement stylus however.

The Goldring's supposed to be a great deck, as it features as a Rega tonearm and built in a Rega factory.

However, I've not any first-hand experience of these turntables myself (I'm in the market for a new one myself) so hopefully you'll get some more responses as to their relative performance.

/edit - Do you have a phono input on your amp?
