TV licence. how do you pay yours

They cost the same but you end up paying for the following years tv licence about 6 months in advance so expect to pay more in the 1st year when you switch to direct debit.

Dirty Noel Edmunds wannabe.

You put a silver wig on and go around talking like him dont you? "The Banker says, I can go out for a drink with you for One beer and a double whiskey chaser... deal or no deal".

Edit: All the while being stalked in the distance by Mr Blobby.

Will be setting up a direct debit today.

The way it works is for the first 6 months you pay something like £23/month. It's £23 because you effectively pay for twelve months within these 6 months. On the 7th month that is when you start paying for the next year in advance, hence you pay something like £12/month.

Hope that makes sense. Took me a while to get my head around it.

Been paying mine on monthly Direct Debit, but been thinking of just making the whole payment in one go, least its out the way....

Its not as if its a huge loss of interest on my part, and yes the 6 months up front is a bit iffy I feel... but then, I feel the whole TV tax thingy is all wrong as well...;)
