Got a new tele coming any day

Panasonic TH42PX60

and need some speakers to go with it but I know nowt

mainly for use with SKY+ and very occasional DVD use ( maybe 6 films a year )

So what do I need to get ?

Looking at about 200 quid and would like wireless rear speakers

Don't need one of these sets that comes with a DVD player as I already have a DVD recorder

any ideas ?

For your budget you will find that most One-Box surround sound kits will include a DVD player. I know this sounds mad but it's just something they all seem to include.

There are not many sets with wireless rear speakers, I cannot think of any within your budget.

You could get a half-decent Panasonic kit for £200 though.

Make sure it has an "optical input" so that you are able to connect your Sky+ box into the speakers.

will I just need one optical input ?

how will I connnect my DVD player

I also have a Humax 5400 satellite reciever that I would like to connect to if possible

I suppose I could always buy one ith a DVD player and flog the DVD that comes with the set

Have a google for a Yamaha AV59. It can be had for 199 quid. Its a full surround amp and speaker package without DVD player. It has component switching, 2 optical and 1 coaxial audio inputs.

Theres a big thread on AVforums about it. I ordered mine today, so I cant give any personal opinions on it, but it gets a lot of positive feedback!

Hope that helps you mate!
