[TW] Fox - Talk to meh!

I was pointing that out in case you missed that fact. It says 'CD Player' in the listing but often AutoTrader fills that in automatically so it might be worth checking if it actually has a CD changer or not. Note it doesn't say tape player in the advert so there's obviously an anomaly there. You can drop the attitude now, thanks.

No, it was utterly pointless post you made, that did no help to the OP. A running trend with most of your posts

Please Rossk26, shut up.

**edit**

I'm not taking a lecture in posting attitudes and morals from you, someone who absolutely self imploded when someone disagreed about your point regarding not needing full beams in country lanes leading to your subsequent PermaBan OR someone who trolled pretty much every Focus/Mondeo thread for a week after a discussion on why people might as well just get a Mondeo over a Focus. You troll my Trust account (don't worry I highlighted it to a mod and it has been removed), which now makes people question if they should buy from me on the MM - doesn't seem to be a problem however seeing as I'm organising a Karting Meet using my own money as a deposit whilst trusting people to pay me back. If someone like Maccy or Thundycat wants to come along and give me a slap on the wrist I'll listen, I'm not going to listen to you because you're a hypocritical wet blanket who has managed to fall out with other members in the past and quite frankly I think you are an utterly ridiculous human being.

If you have the mental capacity to do so, leave me alone and I will return the favour.

I am sure Fox with point out you may aswell get a 3L one and it also doesn't have a leather interior. It does have Xenons which is a plus point.

The 330's are higher premiums IIRC, so the 325's are in a ballpark where they are slightly unwanted due to the lack of power against the 330, but still with very similar running costs.

However I know it's 10 years old, but when I was looking a couple of weeks ago, good examples of E46 coupés were going for ~£5k.

Perhaps the owner had a private plate on and just bought a new reg number from dvla and it still shows the old car?

How would that work? Plates removed from cars are put into a pool of plates and then issued (about 90% of the time the old plate goes back on) with one for the same year of registration/manf. The DVLA would not transfer a dated plate between two cars in an instant, if they did, they'd update their systems before the plates could be printed anyway, so the BMW shouldn't be on that plate.

And you were more helpful by singling out a member you dislike?

E:

When I used to work in Halfrauds, people made up plates and it wasn't unheard of for them to do the plate after being told the reg, not given the paperwork so sometimes they were made up wrong. ;)

You'd have to be an extra kind of special to not notice that you've been given the wrong registration plates for your car, especially if swapping them over.

I'm not sure I'd totally disregard this car. The numberplate anomaly is odd but the most obvious thought - that its some sort of nicked car with a fake plate - is very unlikely, it would take a proper moron to blazenly advertise a car like that at a dealer because anyone will find out when they try to insure it.

So, I'd imagine there is a logical explanation.

Moving onto the car itself it is true that a 325Ci is no cheaper to run than a 330Ci and its also true that this one has Alcantara and not leather. But it's also true that its remarkably low mileage, well priced as a result and less likely to have been owned by your average 330Ci buyer these days which is surely a plus point.

It also qualifies for a £40ish a month comprehensive BMW warranty, too.

And we really don't need to make every BMW thread an FAO Fox thread. I'm not the only one who can offer opinion on these cars you know :p

It might have a 6CD changer in the boot as well as the tape player.

Thanks guys, taking all of this on board.
Now browsing autotrader, i see this car which was 2 mins from my house, so just back from taking a look. Bodywork and seats in immaculate condition.
will get the usual 6 months tax and years MOT with it, and the guy agrees on doing the timing belt and water pump during the service before i picked it up, if i was interested in the car.

What do you guys recon to this car/price/reliability etc?

Much appreciated btw.

Because it's a forum and not someone's gmail account?

Which is why I found it weird to see a Thread with such a Title. Personally I value Foxs opinion on BMW's but I also value the other members who own & have owned the same types of cars, I would Never limit myself to one source. Meh just seemed odd is all. :p
