My question is this:.

I have these cards installed and sli enabled.
In the bios:
Nvidia gpu x ..........do i need this enabling?
sli memory is disabled...............i have sli mem should i enable?
Also I remember seeing somewhere about the GPU settings....i think it said use 1 gpu or maybe a bit of both.....sorry to be so vague.

What would be nice is if someone had the same setup and we could liase with settings.

Also when I run crysis with the new card in sli, to be honest I really cant see much of a difference if at all!!!
how do i know if these cards are working?

thankyou to the gurus in the past for helping me.

Don't worry about not having the SLI memory enabled it actually has nothing at all to do with SLI.
Just some extra info on the memory to set faster timings, nothing you cant do better manually.
GOU ex doesn't affect SLI operation either so on or off doesn't matter.
So don;t concern yourself with Bios settings.

Worry about the Windows drivers.
You should be seeing the SLI option in the NV control panel.
Presumably you have enabled it.

Both 3dmark06 and Crysis should be showing considerable gains from SLI.
If you are getting similar scores to a single card then SLI is broken and you will have to reinstall your VC drivers.
No biggie i think it has happened to eveyone with SLI setups.

I would recommend going to nvidia.com and grabbing the latest drivers for uour OS.
Unistall your old drivers, reboot and install the new ones.
Reboot once again and you should see a message about SLI capable system detected.
Eanble SLI and it should be fixed.

just running 3dmark on a single card so i can do a comparison.
the cpu tests seem really slow and jerky, as the graphics tests look really cool and smooth.
is this normal?

Yes mate its normal.

You should get anything from 10-12k with a single card, and 13k+ with 2 of them

You could always run the crysis benchmark thats in the GFX section. A Q6600 and an 8800GT gets approx 40FPS, so if SLI is working correctly you should see a good 50FPS

Ok,
when install the other card the system hangs before as originally.
Any suggestions guys?.....it worked fine with the previous bios.
Should i revert back to the old bios, not sure what it is though.....damn

At what point does it hang ?
Loading windows ? running 3D stuff ?

Reverting back to your old bios would seem to be prudent.
If the problem goes away you have your culprit.

Do you get any screen corruption or artifacts at all?

Any flashing on the loading screens in 3dm06?

I hyad a lot of trouble with SLI recently and the only thing that solved it was to use old drivers, all the newer ones caused the system to lockup in SLI mode

hi,
I just get to the logo screen when booting, unable to access bios unless i remove the second card and reboot. At which point everything is back to normal.
I am sure its the bios update as everything was fine before, i have updated to 1502.
Apparantly it has sli issues:
topic: http://forums.slizone.com/index.php?showtopic=16455

Anyone know where i can find what bios my board shipped with?......surely it will be on the board somewhere on the bios chip?????

seems like the 1502 bios is a bomb waiting to go off.
seems like Iam not menat to get this board upto speed...
apparantly the 1503 bios fixes it but i cant find it, and also if i install that and it is bad iam knackered.
Reason being the ezflash in bios dosnt allow a downgrade apparantly.....i could force it to install in dos, but guess what?......i have no floppy drive .
Maybe i can install a dos boot cd with the bin file for the bios.
but which bios?????
help......hehe
seriously......help!!
