Twin Peaks

The most obvious comparison is Blue Velvet, although the two share little plot-wise. Personally, I prefer the bits where it's being a more traditional investigative show. That said, the Lych-esque parts certainly add a great deal. When it's good, it's very good but in my opinion it can get very odd, perhaps a little too odd.

Definitely worth a punt; the characters and atmosphere are fantastic, and if you find yourself liking it, you will be hooked.

And 20 years? Blimey.

Still got all of s2 recorded. What I love about it is the atmosphere. The music is odd but I just.. like it.

Shame they didn't show with subtitles as I am hard of hearing so can only watch it during the day (which is never)

my wife got me into this about 7 years ago
ended up buying the whole lot on vhs off the bay and was amazed by how good it was, even got fire walk with me to finish it off. after we watched it i flogged the whole lot for a crazy ammount to a german guy !
amazing stuff, i had to see what it was like because my wife told me that when she was younger, her and her best friend used to dress up like laura palma when she was found dead, i mean what the **** !!! lolz
anyway i got the dvd boxset to watch it all again
class programme ! sheer class

i can remember watching one episode which im sure was backwards all the way through

A final scene in the first season is backwards and it's quite long.

Ends up being quite important later on :)

I love Twin Peaks, I'm currently watching it through again, although I found/am finding it hard to keep interested now the original story line has been concluded.

The Gold Edition has subtitles (I'll check tonight as I'm watching it to make 100% sure)

£30 at the moment.

It's one of those shows that grows slowly, all the characters in it are great.

To anyone who hasn't seen it, there's a terrible crime committed in a small community, and an FBI agent comes in to try and unravel the mystery

First series was REALLY awsome but the second was a big let down. Studio interference when rating's dropped, they demanded a conclusion to killer Bob story.

Probably my favorite show of all time.

I always get a slice of cherry pie and a black coffee when I go to a diner :D
