Hmm, 50mph is a bit keen. I hit a stationary car when I was doing about 40mph and it pretty much demolished the other car.

Little update , Driveshaft was snapped and went through the gearbox , powersteering rack snapped and intercooler cracked as well . So was a Cat C .

Recieved payout this week , slightly less than I wanted but starting to look for a new car now

Because I was going by what others with the same extra's where selling for but they where less milage.

Either you got what the car was worth, in which case why did you want more, or you got less than the car was worth, in which case why did you accept it?

Yeah not explained well sorry , The car with less miles but the same spec was more than we got paid so was hoping for nearer that amount . I understand that extras dont add value to the car in that sence .

Yes it's not that hard to understand is it ?

A car with less miles was £1150 for example and we got £9100. I can't judge myself how 55000 miles effects an insurance payout and as it wasn't my fault I would have thought a like for like replacement was in order but none with out milage was about. We can't afford the same car with the options we need with the payout but have since purchased a new car so yes I'm happy.
