Does anyone use Twitter?

I've just registered myself on there now and am having a play.

Seems quite confusing at the moment.

I'm addicted to Facebook, that's probably why I'll end up getting on with Twitter eventually.

I can't believe they ever managed to legally set something like this up....

Allows you to basically stalk celebrities and in some cases direct message them. :eek:

Personally I think twitter is an utterly fantastic idea.
It means that eventually all the useless, senseless, pointless irritating dross that would normally end up on forums/other websites I normally visit, is collected in one place I can easily ignore.

I just don't understand the facination. I flick onto a couple of famous people's occasionally as some people announce things on there before they really spread around (trent reznor), but I don't see what normal folk have to gain from the thing...

It's quite cool to see what celebs are up to, but normal people I can understand are not very interesting.

I presume you're a normal person, so you've gained knowledge of Trent's latest antics.

If you've not got a ton of fans following you, then you can just use it as public, less synchronous IM with people you know.

Yeah I use it, mainly to see what Jem Godfrey (from Frost* - http://www.frostmusic.net) and Imogen Heap are up to.
