Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to use two different ADSL connections on one phone line? Would this alter speed? Is it even possible? I would look to do it with two different ISPs.

Many thanks, Jamie

I didnt think so, looks like I might have to go down the route of paying for a new line. Damn it. Worth a try I guess

You need another PVC... its possible that they give it to you but chances are they won't.

No problem at all with having adsl or any other form of connection on multiple lines, load balancing can be a bit of a pain ranging from the likes of winroute (yuk!) up to decent hardware inbound load balanced solutions or the even more expensive in/out solutions.

I vaguely remember seeing a custom Linksys/WRT style firmware for load balancing using one of the router ports and the WAN if that helps.

I was able to log into my 1MB Pipex connection or 8MB Nildram connection for a week as I changed over if thats what you mean?

I had two connections on different phone lines, BT fitted another phone line free of charge because it was a 'business line'

hmmm
back in the day I used to run (up a huge phone bill) two 56k modems on two phone lines. those where the days, LPB on Q2!
hmm, wonder how much two adsl lines would cost me
