Heh, I'd do the same if I could justify having more than one rig.

Best 290X on the market, the only card which rivals the Lightning is the Vapor-X and you could argue the PCS+ is a good card, but at this price this card is hands down winner!
Bear in mind, this is a spot buy, MSI just sold me their inventory to get clear, we've pre-sold 20 already so we might be taking them off-sale soon as we only got 164pc coming in.
Worth swapping a 7990 for a MSI R9 290X Lightning?
The lightning can take an absolute pounding. I expect Matt to be putting close to 1.5v through it or else you're not doing it justice![]()

He needs to put it under water..........
Decided not to buy one myself.![]()
I've cancelled my pre-order, going to use my reference 290P card instead.![]()
Nope, it'd be a downgrade apart from total vram.
Any full cover water bocks fit these lightning's?
Well well! my Lightnings have arrived and not good news at all.
Where you plug the Psu Pcie leads into the connector blocks, the cooler is sat way too close to the actual connectors, so you have to physically force the leads in so that they can clip in which in turn bends the cooler up and has now gashed the locking clips on a £200 power supply. Just opened the second box to check the other and it looks the same, so won't be attempting to install that. Poor quality control by MSI.
Gibbo! Where do we go from here?
