6ms does not mean good gaming. This is only one side to it.

An old dell with a 16MS response but ZERO input lag will be faster than your cheap 2ms screens of today.

This is essentially the same panel as you find in the U2711.

The hazro has a fantastic low input lag. Couple this with a 6ms response and it will be fantastic for gaming.

This is no different when those with little knowledge assume that more mhz = faster or that 6 cores at 3ghz means 18ghz right?

No/low input lag is much better than response time so to say a monitor is bad for gaming due to a 6ms response is one hell of a wild statement that just cannot ever be backed up.

I confess to knowing very little about monitors, but assumed - clearly incorrectly, that response time was a key factor for a gaming monitor.

Now that you have pointed me in the correct direction could you explain to me why this is and what exactly you should be looking for in a monitor, rather than ridicule me further? :)

And no, I'm not one of these morons who claim that because I have a quad at 3.2GHz I have 12.8GHz of processing power

if you play cod, get 3 of your friends together, and ill get 3 of mine 2 will 30" dells one with a 30" hazro lets see who's response time matters

STEP BACK! :rolleyes::D

The Hazro HZ27WA and HZ27WC both use an H-IPS panel from LG.Display (LM270WQ1). The panel itself is rated by LG.Display as having a 14ms ISO response time on paper, but with an overdrive impulse applied, Hazro have rated the screen with a 6ms grey to grey (G2G) response time figure. This screen makes use of response time compensation (RTC) technology,to boost the pixel transitions across the range. This technology can significantly help reduce motion blur and ghosting compared with non-RTC panels in practice.

Hi, just wondering would it be worth selling my 3 22" monitors for one of these? They are only standard fare: A BenQ, Iiyama and Samsung that cost about 120 quid each...

Which brings me on to my second question, what is the difference between the two? Is it noticeable? Cheers guys :)

Differences appear to be:
Connectivity, the WA has far more of it!
Input lag, the WC has lower input lag than the WA
and obviously the 10bit vs 8bit though i don't know what the difference between those looks like as i've never used a 10bit one

I'm thinking the WC is more appropriate for my needs, i'd like the connectivity of the WA but the WCs lower input lag, as a gamer, should probably decide it for me.

Basic question - but how do screens with resolutions such as this look when conencted to an xbox360 as i use my current monitor for both my pc and my xbox and I'm pretty sure that the xbox won't upscale to anything like the native resolution of this monitor

Perfec, shall wait till student loan comes through then sell two of my screens, get this one for gaming and then another two when I can afford ;)

Well the WC is ordered along with a GTX580 and a corsair HX750 PSU..... £1000 for 3 things.....that's pretty much what my PC cost me a year and a half ago :o Cannae wait though, i hate my TN screen :D

Great choice matey, shall be an awesome monitor!

Plus the hardware!

OK.. guys.

So a Dell U2711 or a Hazro HZ27WC?
(seeing as the dell has 30ms las and the 27wc only about 9ms?)

Or should I just keep saving for a U3011? :(

Mainly for gaming use.. but some photo work but thats only home pics with my NEX3.

I was in the same boat but the input lag (important for gaming) and anti-glare coating on the U2711 made me not buy it.
For gaming i'd go for a Hazro HZ27WC. It's also cheaper... but if you are not sure yet you can wait until people actually have received theirs and give their opinion.
In the meantime you can read the review on tftcentral.co.uk

After playing some battlefield BC2 on this monitor all I can say is wow!

Dell 27" for a lot cheaper. Panel is gorgeous, do want! I maybe brought back into the light with this panel, no more 3d though :(
