***TWO VERY SPECIAL MONITORS: HAZRO HZ27 Series!**

Had a very quick blast with this, there is only one word to describe the quality and value of these units.

"Exceptional"

Id certainly invest if I hadn't already gone with my Dell.

Assigned it to your order, do not worry. :p :D

:(

EDIT: what are stock levels like? I bought one the naughty way and only posted the paper work yesterday, assume it'll be processed tomorrow if it wasn't today

if you play cod, get 3 of your friends together, and ill get 3 of mine 2 will 30" dells one with a 30" hazro lets see who's response time matters

If there anything like the old hazro screens, they will be brilliant for the money

this is quite true. I play in the same Call of Duty clan as Cupra and the three of us with 30" panels [one 3007, one 3011 and the 08 hazro] all manage to keep up exceptionally well.

heck, im stuck on a wireless connection, have a wireless mouse and a monitor that is supposedly not ideal for gaming.
i should theoretically be terrible right?

Could you explain to me why this is and what exactly you should be looking for in a monitor, rather than ridicule me further? :)

i fail to see what part of his post has come across as ridicule there. I have re-read AM's post and as far as I can tell he was trying his best [and doing a fairly decent job] of explaining things to you.

if i wanted to speak to someone about high end computer monitors that i wasnt already clued up on myself, it would be him or Gibbo.

no need to get so defensive.

After playing some battlefield BC2 on this monitor all I can say is wow!

agreed there. the panel is brilliant for the money. superb clarity and very nice for gaming on. in fairness, when nath was testing i would be hard pushed to tell the difference between this and a 2711
the glass screen would be ideal as it can be just wiped clean - cleaning matte finish screens is a nightmare without leaving streaks but this avoids that.

I was in the same boat but the input lag (important for gaming) and anti-glare coating on the U2711 made me not buy it.
For gaming i'd go for a Hazro HZ27WC. It's also cheaper... but if you are not sure yet you can wait until people actually have received theirs and give their opinion.
In the meantime you can read the review on tftcentral.co.uk

I might have to do that.. wait and see if people actually think its better than the U2711 for gaming..

The relating of me to one who proclaims that a 4 core processor with XGhz speed equates to 4XGHz of processing power is somewhat ridculing, wouldn't you say?

Don't suppose my original question - I shall repeat it for you, What should one be looking out for in a monitor? - could be answered now? :p

However, I couldn't agree more, he did do a good job explaining why response time is not the most important factor.

An old dell with a 16MS response but ZERO input lag will be faster than your cheap 2ms screens of today.

This is no different when those with little knowledge assume that more mhz = faster or that 6 cores at 3ghz means 18ghz right?

No/low input lag is much better than response time so to say a monitor is bad for gaming due to a 6ms response is one hell of a wild statement that just cannot ever be backed up.

he anwered what you should look for in a monitor. he likened the common misconception of low input lag meaning better gaming to the common misconception of GHz X Cores = clockspeed.

it was metaphorical at best. i really dont think you need to be taking it personally.
his posts in the thread have been helpful. if it read that way to you, then fair enough but i wouldnt expect a member of staff making helpful posts would be intending to ridicule customers he is trying to help.
