How thirsty are the CL7 Accord Type-S Tourers? Those which have the k24A3 engines?
35mpg on the motorway, sub 30 around town.

How come? 25mpg around town from a 2.4 litre Accord sounds excellent.
What tyres have you had on over the years and how often and in what pattern are they changed?Does anyone else have an EP3 that makes a quiet 'woo woo woo woo woo...' noise, regardless of temperature that increases in frequency/pitch as road speed increases? Road/engine noise drown it out, and it's most noticeable from 25-35MPH.
Mine has done it for 4 years, and 2 Honda garages and my usual mechanic have been unable to diagnose, so it's nothing obvious. It's not got any worse over the years and there are no ill effects at all, so doesn't seem to be a wheel bearing something similar.
It did it with the **** budget tyres on when I got the car, and it has remained the same when I've fitted new tyres since (FK452s). Tyre wear has no effect on the noise. It doesn't change with rotating tyres from front to rear, and always sounds like it comes from the front of the car.
Fair play. It is probably due to the longer gearing than in typical boxes attached to the K20. I'm talking more about the performance orientated K20 series engines such as the K20A, K20A2 and K20Z2, K20Z4 etc etc..Off topic slightly
My K20A3 disagrees with you. Motorway@ 70 with cruise control on is definately higher than that. Real world tends to be 42-45 with indicated being as high as 48. I get 35 measured/real world on my normal a road blast to work and I work the full rev range every drive; indicated being 38. Recently averaged 38 on a run to Devon from Chichester.
Failing that within the budget the only ones I've really heard anyone talk about much are the Hankook V12, people seem to like them.
I need some tyres for my eg6, no more then £45 a corner, can get them fitted for a pint or two (usually just slap on whatever budgets the local indy has).
Looking on camskill, what would you guys recommend from this link for 195/50/15's ?
( Just sort by price lowest first)
Was thinking the T1R and they are also the cheapest but read they aren't good in the wet and wear super quick so then I was thinking rainsport/experts but have found people saying they suck in the dry?
Any input appreciated
Saw an awesome looking subtly modified FN2 Type R yesterday. It was in yellow with black alloys, tinted and various parts like the spoilers in black. Looked like a proper spaceship!
Also VTEC helped me teach an impatient idiot a lesson yesterday.
Anyone know if the ATR came without the brash big spoiler? I'm thinking they might make a good sleeper without it.
Edit: Something like this would be perfect
yep thats why alarm bells were ringing straight away for me. in honesty, its just a lesson learned. I guess I am used to trading high value goods on our MM and take what sellers say as gospel.
in fairness, I could easily just put another 150 into my funds and get a new N1 direct from spoon.
