Right, after a full set of new tyres.

Size is 235/35/R19. Car is a Focus ST, if that makes any difference.

Currently got a set of Conti Sport Contact 3's on 18's at the minute, have been happy with the performance they've gave me over the past 11 months.

Obviously looking to save money, but not stupidly, i.e. I don't want a £200 set of Fullruns on my car, but on the other hand I don't fancy forking out £300 a tyre for the top of the range Michelin's or Pirelli's. Ideally I wan't to be paying less than £190-200 a corner.

Ones that have caught my eye are;

- Falken FK452
- Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2
- Continental Sport Contact 5P

Now I'm swaying towards the Conti's because the 3's I have have performed well enough for me so far, but they are the most expensive of the three, the goodyear is on the list because I know how popular the previous gen were, and nearly bought them instead of the conti's, and the Falken's are on there because they seem to get a good review, and are cheap.

Are there any other tyres I could consider, like Yoko Advan's, Toyo T1's, or even Kuhmo Ecsta's?

What is prompting this purchase of new tyres is, I've bought some new brakes, so consequently needed bigger wheels to fit over the brakes, so as you can imagine I've already spent a lot of money on wheels and brakes, so a saving on tyres would be a relief at the moment, but I don't know if this would be false economy. Example, getting the Falkens over the Conti's will save me £260, or over the F1's will save £225, but I don't know if performance difference of the tyres will be worth the price difference.

All help is appreciated

I'm going for F1's, cheapest I've found is £172.80 each from camskill, anyone know of a place that can beat that? I can try ringing around the local tyre places, but usually they prices are obscene, just wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper place that can deliver.

The new F1s are fantastic tyres but then so are the 5p. Either will be great.

The Falkens are raved about by the Scooby bunch, but they are not it the same league as those 2, go with either of those and you will be happy.

Tyre-shopper.co.uk. Fitted as well.

Checked this morning, great, I said I'll order them after lunchtime, go to do that now, and now they've vanished? The Porsche ones are still there, but the other ones, the ones that were 91Y have gone. :confused:

Just to bump this thread and add closure, got my tyres fitted today, will be going on car tomorrow if I have time to clean it.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2's x4 - £700 fitted & balanced.
